February 21st marked the end of the first phase of a safety initiative launched by Melissa Durbin, President of Marshall Durbin Food Corporation, calling for increased supervisor safety training, increased supervisor accountability with regards to safety issues, and a reduction of the Company's OSHA incidence rates, which in most cases are already better than the industry's average.

Mr. Rance Maddox, CSM, CECD, an authorized OSHA 501 General Industry Trainer, conducted the OSHA 10 Hour Course training.

Robert J. Camp, J.D., Marshall Durbin's Director of HR & Safety, commented, "This safety initiative is just one more way Marshall Durbin strives to be better than its competitors. Most processors value production above all other concerns and safety takes a back seat. Here at Marshall Durbin we want safety, production, and product quality to walk hand in hand as equals. With the basics in OSHA compliance training behind us we can now more effectively utilize our existing education programs focusing on location specific safety training."
